[Jukebox-list] AMI C problems

Hi all,
I finally had some time off from work and poked around the C (it still won't start or cancel at the tone arm sw). I tried jumping the reversing (tone arm cancel sw), nothing. Checked continuity, all good. I can cancel at the cabinet sw and the remote screw terminals ok. I shorted (jumped) the start sw, nothing (won't start the mech). I cleaned the contacts and checked continuity, all good. Looking at the manual sequencing diagrams, these all go thru the tone arm cam sw, so I took that apart and cleaned it, checked continuity, all good. Reconnected it up and still nothing. I have no idea what else to try. I even cleaned the relay contacts in the little mech box. The only one I haven't cleaned it the phono junction box relay. What do you think should be the next things to check? I do know the record rack sws. are out of adjustment (that sometimes causes the transfer cycle from the tt to the rack not to complete). I still have to try to get that pin back in the left side cancel plunger. Looks like some disassembly will be required to get that in (unless you know a trick). I may have to get those rack sws. working before I can proceed with the rest (not sure how much of the cycle goes thru them). That will be my next day off project. Hey, I did get that left animation motor working, so the day was not a total loss It turned out to be one of the wire crimps were not making good contact. I took care of that . I did notice a plug on the credit unit not plugged in and 2 pins are wired together, I'm guessing that's how the free play was done. I take it that plug comes from the coin assy. and has nothing to do with the start sw problem? I think I told you everything (its 4am, time for bed). Thank you for your help in this, Rick.
