John,
apology accepted. I like talking to you and was taken aback with your
comment. Princess, I am not, lol.(except maybe in my husband's
eyes)..........I am 54 years old, 7 children and have spent most of my adult
life (married at 17) raising my family and studying and teaching piano.
Never have I worked on anything electronic or mechanical (other than my
Corvair :o) . When I bought my Statesman, it was truly a dream come true.
I love my music, it soothes my soul.......gets me through my busy
day.........puts things in perspective. I accidentally found this List
Group on line and was so thrilled there were people out there that not only
loved jukeboxes but knew something about them. I got the Statesman in
August and did not find any help until Jan.or Feb the following year. I
made tons of phone calls and had 2 very bad service calls that costs me lots
of $$ but also trashed what was a working part of the jukebox.
My point in this email is just to let you know that I KNOW I ask stupid
questions all the time, because I am admittedly STUPID when it comes to
Jukeboxes. I do pay attention to the suggestions and advice but more than
that I am so extremely grateful for the time people are willing to give me.
Some things just don't make sense to me, not the first time, second or third
but I don't get discouraged and I spend tons of time staring at the back of
the Jukebox trying to figure it out. I love the way they work and would do
anything to talk to someone who was in the Design Aspect of the Jukeboxes
back in the 50's and 60's which is almost as intriguing to me as the
mechanical aspect.
I think everyone on the List is trying to preserve these Musical Marvels and
are always happy to add their thoughts and encouragement, however we are all
human and get cranky and frustrated with one another, even in cyber
space.....funny to think of it that way, a group of people whom have never
met, being cranky to each other. I even get yelled at OFF LIST, all the
time.
Jackie
