I've never had mine apart.  I was about to take the plunge to
repair a loose cantilever, but then found that West Tech
would rebuild them.  He wanted a "sample" to keep on hand, so
I traded him the silicone-glopped one straight across for 
the repair.  I think his regular fee was about $45, or more
if the coil needed to be rewound.
