Someone mentioned that records should be removed from a Rockola while
working on it. Same is true for AMI or any mech where the transfer gear can
get out of sync when working on it and hurt the records. I learnt this the
hard way.. on an AMI C the magazine motor suddenly started when I was
working on the transfer assembly. All the 78s in the magazine were in
pieces. Among them one I really miss. It was a brand new copy of "Little
girl" with Tommy Dorsey Orch. on the yellow MGM label. The song was good,
but it was also the best fidelity 78 I had ever heard.  Sob.
