[Jukebox-list] Animation Motor Rockola 437

Jackie,
You are welcome---does it have the letters "CW" or "CCW" on it--if so, that stands for the direction (clock-wise--counter clock-wise). Or perhaps the parts book defines the direction? If you attempt to spin it with the power on, it MAY turn a few revolutions in the correct direction--won't in reverse. If the shaft size and direction is OK--the difference between an 8 rpm and a 10 rpm won't ( in my opinion) ever be noticed.
Are you sure that that's a "screw" you are trying to remove--sometimes a "rollpin" is used-- Ron Rich

  Thanks Ron,
I took the old motor off this morning and once again oiled it. I also tried
to take out the set screw, but it wouldn't budge (wanted to look inside)
With some force on the shank, I can get it to spin in (clockwise) or at
least I can hear it inside.

It's wiring is bundled with the ballast for the floresent bulb, and that is
working so I am pretty sure it's getting electricity.

The motor is 110v 60cy 8rpm, so far I haven't found the exact on the
internet, my question, is there another replacement motor with different
specs that could work? As always, thanks for your thoughts,
Jackie
