Just finished her this morning.
Before and after photos, and in it's new home, Rooky Ricardo's Records.
Many thanks for moral support from several of you, and a BIG thanks to Gary,
for the new 120 decal. Really looks great.
I really just shop-out jukes, sometimes to the extreme, but I don't really
restore. I take what's there and clean it up nice, get them running well,
and only replace what's necessary. Just really wanting a mech cover, but
someone here's on it ;-)
Machine was origianlly yellow, so the yellow sections pay tribute to that.
There are just a few spots where, if you remove something, the original
yellow paint peeks through in it's original brilliance. I was pleased when
the off-the-shelf yellow I picked turned out to be almost a prefect match.

Here's 3 photos more for those interested. Overall, once I addressed the few
and simple mechanical issues, the juke wasn't actually all that bad, just
ugly and grungy. I thought I'd be able to just remove the trim and clean up
the insides as is, but once the paint started going on, the insides just
looked worse and worse as the outside looked better and better (3 coats
black, oil based and carefully cross hatched each coat to give texture and
hide brush marks and imperfections. Yellow is 4 coats, same process. Foam
brushes used.), So mid way, I pulled almost everything out (Top speaker box
is off, also). This way, I was able to give the insides a good bath and
clean up. Much better. Discovered some rotten wiring in the process, too, so
doing so probably saved me from having to go back inside 6 months from now
now that it's back in service.

Next is a lit flash photo showing the new 6 color rainbow color gels.
There's actually a light, also 6 color gelled, above the lower black panel,
but the flash photo almost totally obscures it.

Last, another larger shot.
