Hi Adrian
I occasionally restore Bingo pinballs that have the same texture. I  use a 
product in a spray can that is used to texture dry wall repairs.  Just spray it 
on and paint over it with an oil base paint. You can control  the amount of 
texture with different size tips that come with the product.
btw did you lose your Louisiana map? I heard through my sources that you  
sneaked into the states without coming to see us. We are going to eat at Mike  
Anderson's in a couple of weeks. Too bad....
