There was also a recent movie made about the event called Joyeux Noël, 
French with sub-titles, which I saw on an Air France flight to Paris last 
year.

This version of the story also deals with the aftermath and what happened, 
according to the film version, to the Scottish Regiment, which was disgraced 
and the others involved.  I really enjoyed this version.  You can also find 
it on Amazon.com to buy but I don't know if it will be out to rent here in 
North America or not.
