[Jukebox-list] Do I want this?

John -

The 1450 is a pretty nice machine. I restored a 1400, (which is basically
the same), and it is played every day and works and sounds great. A few
points -

For $2000 - it better be in Really good condition. No cracked pilasters,
good dome. Back cover in place. WORKING coin equipment. If it has a
stepper I'll buy it from you ;-)

Good cobras (2 mil or 3-mil), rebuilt amp. If it still has the original
field-coil speaker that is a plus, although the manual lists a PM speaker as
an option.

They have the three-point caster system, and so are tricky to move (but easy
to level!).

And, in "my opinion" - these machines were best left on 78 rpm. If it was
converted to 45 rpm, you will be stuck with grinding your records with that
1-mil green cobra tracking at 12 grams.

If you want it, buy it! We only go around once in life, unlike a phonograph
record.

Well.

Sorry, that WAS a bit lame...
