If wear is your problem it is likely to be in the pot-metal cam rather than  
the roller. Also I've seen the lift arm get a twist in them from previous 
jams.  I have twisted them back but it is a stressful thing to do. The pot-metal 
lift  arm does not like being bent back and can break without warning. A fast 
and  dirty fix the ops used on location was to slip a bottle cap under the 
turntable  shaft. I have actually used a brass pipe cap the correct size. You can 
adjust it  by dropping in flat washers into the cap.
