[Jukebox-list] AMI Continental 1 Blowing 1 amp Slow Blow Fuse

I have several AMI Continentals that I am restoring.    My latest one has a fault in the selector  (button bank) that I cannot locate.  
When power is turned on the latch solenoid pulls in as it should, at this stage sometimes it blows the right side 1 amp slow blow fuse in the power junction box.   At this stage the latch solenoid releases.   A loud hum can be heard from the speakers.
If the latch solenoid holds long enough for credit to be established and a selection to be made.    The search unit wipers will rotate stop at correct place (i.e. A1)   When the sprag relay is pulled in the 1 amp slow blow fuse always blows. 
I am trying to fix this selector in a known working Continental so as not to be looking else were.
If the working selector is reinstalled there is no problem.    This problem has to be in this selector.
I seem to be always asking questions on Continentals.   This is because I have I have several to restore.
