I generally avoid the mid 60's Seeburgs because I am not crazy about the
console styling. And I agree with John - the autospeed is a pain. I'm no
expert, but here's my thoughts - I've never had a speed issue with any
Seeburg B-DS. But every LPC model I've worked on had speed issues, even
though the autospeed units had been rebuilt. On one occasion, I did change
out the gear set and I personally thought this was the better solution. If
you are tearing down the mech anyway, it's not so bad to go ahead and change
out the gears.
