Hi Ron and others, Charlie's been in the hospital for several weeks now. It 
started with respiratory illness/infection and difficulty with his dialysis 
stint. His condition was frail to start with and progressed rapidly. I 
didn't post earlier to respect his privacy, but since it seems to be common 
knowledge now, i will pass on what i know. Unfortunately Charlie has been 
plagued with a multitude of illnesses any of which would be difficult to 
overcome; pulmonary failure, diabetes, latent infection. The docs have said 
he now has multiple organ failure. He has rarely been coherent when visited, 
so hasn't been able to receive calls. I stopped on the way into the city a 
week back and he never knew I was in the room. I don't believe he is in any 
pain or discomfort at this time. He is indeed the king of rockola's, and the 
personification of the word "individual." Now it's a matter of hoping for 
the best for him and waiting to see the outcome. I'll keep you posted as 
things develop. Justin

  It is with great saddness that I am posting this---
  I have just been informed that "Rockola Charlie" is in CICU at a
hospital, and the Dr's are saying that "--they have exausted all
measures--"
