[Jukebox-list] Fuses-was-rockola 449 won't pick up record

I'm on it................. found th emanuals online for 70$ or so. anyway to read something about this model online while I wait for th eUPS delivery?

I doubt that they are the source of yor problem, but anytime I get a machine in for repair, the first thing that I do is to be sure that the fuses are the correct type and size--oversized fuses, cause fires, and blow transformers. The fuse size and type are usually marked next to the fuse post, and on the fuse itself. "Fast blow" fuses are usually marked either "AGC", "MTH", or "312" on the fuse. The "silkscreen" on the chassis usually will give the fuse size in amps (ie: 3A). "Slow blowing" (sloblo) fuses are marked "MDL", or "313" on the fuse, and the "silk screen" next to the post usually says the rating in amps, followed by "sloblo", or "SB" (ie: 3ASB). 
Also, in most cases, if the "right size" fuse blows once, I will replace it . If it blows twice, the source of the problem must be found, and repaired, prior to replacing it again.
