Crinkle paint is tough to do right, especially on large areas.
It needs to be a very wet coat, luckily you have flat sides that
can be turned to face "up" so you don't get runs.  I don't think
you can do just part of an area and expect to blend it in with
the next application for side-by-side portions.  "Mist-coats" of
crinkle paint don't work!
