Hello...would appreciate any advice on contact point restoration. We
are working on an SPS-160 which is having an intermittent motor speed
problem due to arcing at the reversing switch points. Have used a
proper contact burnishing tool plus a lint free cloth saturated with
deoxit gently pulled between the points. Have cleaned with contact
cleaner spray then dried with canned air to remove any residue.

You can see little arcs going across the closed points....had this
problem on a Wurlitzer 2800 keyboard latch switch and ended up having
to have a relay do the actual switching with one good contact on the
switch stack activating the relay as no cleaning or burnishing could
eliminate the arcing between the closed points.
