[Jukebox-list] nsm festival es 160 st no display and manual req'd

hi, wonder if anyone can assist.
i have just obtained an nsm festival es-160 st jukebox. it powers up, the lights work and speakers hum.
the play mech moves, although slowly, with the scan button depressed.
however the upper lcd display which shows credits and the selection digits does not work at all. any ideas if i can test the rest of the mech manually, or if this is a regular fault?
i would really like to get a manual/wiring diagram for it aswell if anyone can assist.
also, is there a free-play  facility on it, if so where?

i have searched the forums and there is one previous entry on the manuals, but the subscriber seems to have now left, it was several years ago.
