[Jukebox-list] my Wurlitzer 3600 (3610) magazine motor literally
went up in flames

I found a local 1972 "Wurlitzer 3610" (the 80 capacity version of the 3600)
that was advertised as "needs adjustment". But the price was right, so I've
accepted the challenge of my first jukebox.
I ordered the Service Manual. By manually triggering the switch at the back
of the tonearm it will pick up a record, put it on the turntable, the needle
drops into position, then 1 second later, the needle arm lifts back up and
it returns the record to the slot. Shows promise, though.
The record magazine carousel won't turn, even when I move the SCAN/LOAD/RUN
switch to SCAN, so I tried testing the magazine motor to see if it was
good. Long story short, I hooked the motor up to 120V AC and I got a nice
little fire. :(
Pictures of the fire and more details are here:

I can't find any specs or model numbers for the motor. The casting says
"MOLON MOTOR" and there's an ink stamp that says "2231#".
What voltage is this AC motor rated at? The schematics dead end at a
connector that says "POWER SUPPLY PLUG"... no specs or pin assignments are
given for the power supply.
Was it indeed faulty or is it incapable of taking 120v AC directly?
Can someone provide some info on the motor or a replacement source?
Thanks!
Clarence
