In some cases this can be done on a Seeburg, but only if you are very lucky, and whomever replaced the lock last, failed to re-install the bar that is put on the rear of the door, just to prevent that from being done.

Ron, I haven't fully explored this, but I believe the sheet metal coin
box housing is attached to the inside of the cabinet with simple wood
screws. If this is the case, it might be possible to remove the slug
rejector and then just unscrew and remove the entire box. Then it would
be possible to easily unbolt the metal bar if present and the tailpiece
from the lock.

The purpose of the metal bar isn't to prevent removal of the box from
inside, but to prevent "punching" the lock through from the outside. It
fits just inside of the mounting screw for the cam/tailpiece and
prevents it from moving rearward.

Another technique that I think you're suggesting is to unscrew the
tailpiece from the inside without first removing the box. This might
work if there is enough room to get an offset screwdriver through the
coin drop hole and the coin bag isn't in the way. This would indeed be
easier if the bar were missing, although it might be possible to unscrew
it first.

I agree that unless the lock is easily picked, it may be fastest and
easiest to just drill it out. This shouldn't hurt the value of the
jukebox as there is nothing special about coin box locks and replacement
cam locks are readily available for a few dollars.
