That switch can be a problem, but I suspect something else is wrong. He says 
it won't do anything when you try it in "scan", which does not require that 
switch to be made. Dirty read out contacts are not the problem either - he's 
not getting that far yet. Bob - does the start relay pull in when you hit 
"scan"? Your turntable should start spinning if it does. Have you checked 
the basket motor yet?
