Jeff,
Most of these "volumes" have gotten very confused over the years. I can
not figure out what the original thinking was behind this idea, other than
to provide continuing info as the years passed for each new model. As far as
I know--and someone please correct this if wrong--they started with the 146
model. It appears that they allocated a number of pages to various sections
of the jukebox. For example, pages numbered 1-100 were for "cabnet info"
(the 146 only used 10--rest were reserved for future use), pages 100-200 for
"amp info"--and so on--. Well, it seems to me that as the years went by, the
sections filled up, and they needed more page numbers for, say "cabinet
info", so they just added another section of page numbers. This happened
several times, until they abandoned the "volumes" concept, and went to
individual service manuals, with their own page numbers. I THINK the last
manuals to use the "volue page numbering system" was the LPC 480.
To further confuse things, in my opinion, they also published bound
manuals covering individual models. SOME of these manuals used the "volume"
page numbering system, while others had their own page numbering system/
Therefore, it is possible to find a bound manual for a specific model with
either numbering system.
I have "volume 1-4"
Hope that's all clear--if so, please explain it to me !!
