  The "new" (Pfanstiehl) " P-51" can be purchased with a .7 mil neeedle--which should make it fit perfectly in that phono--and the few I've installed sounded real good (to my bad ears), playing both new and old 45's.

Hi All,
I have a Rockola 1448 which has a unknown cartridge and needle 
that was fitted to it when I got it, I am thinking of replacing it with the 
P-51-1 a replacement cartridge for the original 51-1, has anyone used this 
replacement, and can give an opinion on its performance, also how long 
should the needle be used?, how many plays? etc, thanks for any input.
