Hi Dominic,
In my limited experience with NSMs (3 mechs) I have noticed a few things
concerning the speed issue.
The TT rubber must be in pretty good shape for things to work properly. If
yours is too rotten try durfee coin op or other used juke places for a turn
table. I don't think the rubber is meant to be removed and replaced.
The TT must spin freely.
The motor pivot can sieze up. I remove the motor and clean off all the old
crusty lube.
Finally- the spring that is attached to the motor is the only thing that
pulls the motor to the TT when in play. So it must have just the right
amount of tension.
Hildegard knows more about NSMs than I do. I did have a problem with that
link in his post - no file found.
