Jens had a purchase on ebay for an item he was unable to contact the seller. 
I don't know what happened in the end, maybe he will read this and chime in. 
I guess there is always a risk.

 A bit off subject, I am selling my Corvair and put an ad in the Washington 
Post.  I get a call from someone I can not understand very well, asking if 
he can give me $1500 over the asking price and could I hold the car until he 
can have it shipped to Africa.  oh, also............"what kind of car is 
it?"  I laughed so hard and took his number, which I sent in to the AA 
County Police, just in case something should come up with his name and # in 
the near future.
