I remember seeing these as prizes on game shows like "Let's Make
a Deal" (featuring "America's top trader, TV's big dealer, MONTY
HALL!") when I was a kid. In fact, the only place I've ever
seen one is on TV. :-) Althought it is the kind of thing you'd
expect to find in Matt Helm's or Derek Flint's batchelor pad,
along with the book case that swings around to reveal a wet bar.

David,
Seeburg had a "showing" of the Home Stereo's in one of the large hotels in San Francisco, and I was the only Seeburg rep there at the moment when one of the "big stars" ( in her mind, anyway) came in and looked at them. She announced to me ( and her entourage) that she "wanted one". I proceeded to tell here where she could buy one. She asked me if I knew WHO she was, and I answered with her name. She then announced that she "never would buy anything"--people would gladly "GIVE" her anything, for the "publicity". I told her that that decision was "above my pay level", and she stormed out of the room. As she left, I said that I was glad that "her boots were made for walkin"--she heard me and turned and gave me a nasty stare.Ron Rich

Guy's
If you want a "rare" one, find an AP-3. I doubt that more then 10 of theose were built (by "hand"). Ron Rich

I just gutted one of those God-awful looking
"Meditteranean-Spanish" looking things. I took out the
speakers and the 33 1/3 mechanism. Does anyone need
the mech? If you want to pick it up in Baltimore it's
yours. The case I will cut up with a mini chainsaw and
the rest I'm gonna dumpster unless someone needs the
parts.

Sigh, pains me to hear this. I had passed up on a consol a couple of
years ago and now realize that it would have been perfect for playing my
collection of 33s...
It would have made an good TV stand as well...
