Help in capital letters.
Oh boy, have I got a headache!
This Seeburg AP2 - maybe Ron can help - Ron, you helped me get that coin
switch back together on the wallbox, thanks again!
This AP2 has a "code B" mechanism and it has a few differences between it
and the manual. Naturally, the differences are right where I don't want
them to be - the reversing relay that's mounted on the front of the mech
casting. The manual shows some sort of mechanical "hold-in" linkage, mine
has no linkage but does have an extra set of contacts and a resistor in
series with the coil (actually a 120 onm and a 680 ohm).
The reversing relay pulls in for the right side of the record, but as soon
as the mech goes into play it drops out. I have cleaned contacts, adjusted
contacts, traced wires, and I hate to admit defeat, but that's as far as I
can get.
I think it's a contact adjustment issue, since this is a "new" problem".
Actually, this has had many different problems, intermittent. I finally got
it to reject again, not sure how, but let's not tempt fate by trying to
figure out how we managed to fix it. Do you need pictures of the relay?
Let me put the big hammer next to it first.
Thanks!
