In the 1930s they were living in Eatonville, Washington, where
my grandfather managed the Standard Oil fuel depot.  It now
resides here in Rosedale, Washington.  Interestingly, when I
was a litle kid, my parents had the same model (picture below)
but converted to take paper bags.  Mine still has a shake-out
bag.  I think nowadays that's called "bagless"!  :-)

I also have two from around 1930, with a lot of the
original accessories, in the attic above the garage.
It's the model at the bottom of this picture.  I don't
use those to clean the house, however.
