[Jukebox-list] Wurlitzer 2504 sound blasts at start of record

Just finished rebuild on Wurlitzer 2504 and have a couple of minor  issues.  
1) When select light is on the 150 ohm 5 watt resistor in panel  gets smoking 
hot.  I can't figure out why.   2)  Record  blares at start of play.  Manual 
calls it "sound blasts in at start of  record."  I've checked recommended steps 
with no success.  The mute  plug is in and traces out good.  I find no open 
contacts in play  switch.  It works fine.  All plugs are new.  The loud blaring 
at  the first of the record is driving me nuts.  Learning jukes by the seat 
of  my pants. Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated.   allen
