[Jukebox-list] Issues with 2504 Wurlitzer

Ron, thanks so much for the reply.  I realize the resistor should get  hot, 
but not to the point of smoking I wouldn't think. You can smell it burning.  It 
is the original 150 ohm and reads correctly on my meter.  The solenoid  is 
also the original.   The box is not on free play but several  selections are 
normally made at once so the light is on for a moment or two  until all choices 
are made. Maybe I'm paranoid.  I'm going to replace with  a 10 watt as you 
suggest.   I appreciate the suggestions on the sound  blasts and will try them for 
sure.  I replaced all the caps in an untouched  original amp with a kit from 
Victory Glass so I'm assuming all components are  correct as close as 
possible.  The amp sounds great and has loads of  power.  Excuse my ignorance but I 
don't know what you mean by the AVC plug  (auto volume control?)   Which plug 
would that be?   Don't  laugh - I told you ...seat of my pants.  Thanks again.
