Was he employed by the army? That would have been a pretty good job to have.
As far as I know, one could never expect to find "matching numbers" in a
jukebox - cabinet, mechanism, amplifier, tonearm. I have never seen it, so I
don't think they were. However, if you are talking classic Wurlitzers from
the 40's, if the numbers are close that would indicate that the units were
never replaced.
