I think if you compare the brightness of the light coming
through the columns at the base (which is way over exposed
in those pictures) with the light coming through the top
(which is about properly exposed) you'll see that there is
quite a bit of difference on the machine pictured, These
look like short time exposures taken in a very dimly lit room.
