    David, there is a fabricated sheet behind the Peacock glass called the 'Analyzer that consists of pieces of mica sandwiched between two planes of regular glass. The stress lines in mica will show under polarized light created by a rotating polarized plastic disc. If you want to see the stress lines on small cast plastic boxes, look at through polarized glasses that you would normally look at 3D movies. Wes

I believe that the light polarizing property is a function
of the way the plastic material is formed. It's not "printed"
but stretched to align the crystals which produce the polarizing
effect. Even glass polarizers, of the type used in photography,
consist of a piece of polarizing film sandwiched between
two pieces of glass,
