Well, now here's a case where I say something at work without
benefit of reference and come to regret it. I need to learn
when to shut up. :-) It looks like the manual you have is the
revised version with line drawings accompanying all the
adjustment steps. In my copy of that manual (which I got
from Seeburg in 1976) Adjustment #32 is indeed the last
adjustment. The next page is Page 67, "Cam Follow Arm &
Gear Segment Assembly, Part #250123 Removal and Installation."
Sorry to steer you wrong! My other manual, "A-1, Issue 1&2"
lacks that adjustment as well. But, as Ron said, it's
pretty much a matter of getting the switch to the point
where no record will cause one of the contacts to close
and "no penetration" will cause the other to close. I
consider this a valuable safety mechanism because I have
some pretty valuable records in my M100-A and I don't want
anything to happen to them. That said, the M100-A
mechanism is probably the gentlest 78 mechanism ever
made and I've never had it fail to center a record over
the flywheel before the clamp closes. In the meantime,
I'm going to avoid the urge to chime in on this process
until I have a chance to confront either the manuals
or the mechanism itself!
