The Drive In Speakers made me think of a set I had a
few years ago and just let get away. I used PVC for a
pole and a gumball machine for a base. I had the top
box where the speakers hang and this one was equipped
with a light (EPRAD). I used a dropping transformer
to light the light and fitted a transistor radio into
the top box so it would play through the speakers. I
replaced the radio on/off switch with a pull switch so
it could be turned on/off by pulling the chain. The
battery lasted quite a while even with the large
speakers. It was a fun thing.
