Hi

 

Re John's problem with the R-83 gripper arm, yes he is to be worried re the
gripper bow scraping against the turntable.

 

The correct clearance is about ¼ of an inch, so something is way out. I
suggest that you strip down the gripper bow assembly completely and wash all
the parts down in soapy water to clean off any lubrication or gunk. Dry and
re assemble, adjust as per your manual.
