Your guys discussion thread reminds me of one of my Tube Radio Club members who is a retired TV Repair Service Tech. During our recent Radio Club Christmas Party he was telling me about the highlite ups and downs of his career. His Number One bad memory was the Philco Predicta TV. He said you had to have hands of a child to work through the ports on the chassis to change components and the sets were constantly in the shop. He couldn't believe that the Predicta is now the #1 collectible TV. I've read through some of the history of the Philco since I restore old Philco radios from the 1930s. It 's apparent that the Philco Design Engineers put Philco out of business with the Predicta.
