Rob, you sure couldnt have picked a more complicated
jukebox for your first one. I am not sure if you were
aware of this list before you made your purchase, but
if you were and had asked for advice first, most folks
would have told you to forget it. Buying any used
electrical appliance unseen is just a no no for me.
Most especially a jukebox. In the summer months I have
been known to frequent the odd fleamarket and I am
always amazed to see so many people walking away with
electrical goods yet they havent a clue if their
purchase will work when they get home. Sorry to sound
a bit pesimistic, but personally I think you have
bought yourself a whole lot of bother and its going to
cost you to have it put right. Like I have said in
previous listings, things are usually cheap for a
reason (look for my story about the Wurlitzer 2204
with termite damage). There is a lot to be said for
the old addage "You only get what you pay for". I had
a Seeburg KD200 some years back. This was a fabulous
machine and gave me many years of trouble free
playing, however it had been professionaly restored
before I bought it. All I can do is wish you luck with
your project. Please keep us informed as to what route
you intend to take with the Seeburg. i would be
interested to know the outcome.
Kind regards
Gary Young
