Hi Francois,
Happy New Year to you too. Below is a reply I sent to a similar question a few months ago. I've added a link to let you see the type of unit I'm referring to.

"I sometimes fit piezo ceramic tweeters concentrically with the original speakers in cases like these. There is one particular model (sold by a high street electronics shop here in the UK) that is quite shallow and can be fitted well forward in the 12 inch speaker aperture (ie under the 12" unit) using thin aluminium (aluminum?) bar. Thin wires from the tweeter can then be taped to this bar and connected to the big speaker.

This works very well on 222s, Tempos etc and has no permanent impact ie you can take it all out with no residual problem if you get bitten by the originality bug!"

This is the type of tweeter http://www.tiny.cc/4IXhU

I'm sure you will be able to find something similar. I find the recessed version works best. You only need an in-line resistor to connect it.

  Norman.

I just finished my Tempo 1 (1468 mono version) and I am not very impressed
by the sound quality. Now, I had bought this juke mainly for its great 50's
look, not really for the sound. I knew it would never be in the range of
the AMI I, H and HF100R but I still would like to know if it would improve
the sound to add a tweeter.
