I was once asked in a job interview "what process do you use
to debug a problem?" I said that if I knew how to describe it
I could probably make more money *teaching* systems diagnosis.
I got the job. I think to a large degree, the understanding
of how mechanical systems (or their software analogues)
operate is innate.
