So , is the selection problem fixed ?  What actually was the problem?
As far as the tonearm goes , I recall that the twin tonearms on these
are a pain in the neck to adjust and you have to balance them out
properly. Do you have the manual on the machine?  You can try adjusting
the tonearms as per the manual, if it is real herky-jerky , just cycle
and observe, something has got to be causing that.  Sometimes the audio
wire that goes down the arm can catch on something small. Make sure
there is enough slack and the wire is not binding.  A small amount of
lightweight oil on the tonearm pivot points cant hurt either.   Jim
