Hello Jim,
No experience with your problem. Can't even picture your machine.
But, my feeling is..... if you are confident you can end up with a STRAIGHT
frame.... do whatever it takes to get it straight so the mech will function
100%.
I am 58 and will grow old and die and my thought is value. smalue, smalue...
.... get it straight, and if in the process it looks as close to original as
your fancy work will allow.... then its perfect.
If you'll grow old and die like me, well then, you can take pride in doing
the best by your beloved jukes as you could. Ya gott'em going AOK and after
you are gone somebody else will enjoy them for a long time, based on the
quality of your resto. ..... and unless they are a purist they likely
will not know the difference between the original frame and the replacement.

On the other hand, and logically too, IF you sell it before you die, AND the
buyer tries to beat you on the price 'cause it ain't "original"... tell that
buyer the price just doubled and if he really wants it the price will triple
in 10 seconds unless he closes the deal now.

Sorry, got no time for that bs when it comes to others evaluating my work
and craftsmanship. ....and I'm doing fine. Sleep well.

Hope this encourages you to "get it straight."

Have fun,
Don
