Manual select H-I-J models are quite common although less common then
electrical selector. Manual was available as 100 or 200 selections,
electrical was 120 or 200 selections. Thus is a 120 select machine always
electrical.
Not so common in later models, K and the Continentals. But Continentals were
built under license in Italy, and I think those were all manual select.
Operators didn't like the manual selector here because kids (not me!) would
play with it and see who could spin it the farthest. This would cause the
pin pusher to get out of alignement and then customers would get wrong
selections.
And overtightening the clamp on the pin pusher made the aluminum crack...
