[Jukebox-list] 30's Mechanisms-- Chrome or Nickel Plated?

I think Wurlitzer only used nickel plating.
Chrome plating was available in the thirties. I've been told why they didn't
always use it, but I forgot....Jay?
I think the yellowish nickel goes very well with the warm brown walnut and
mahogany cabinets, phenolic plastics and revolving colours of the 78 rpm
era, whereas the cold blue chrome looks great with the more angular 50's
jukeboxes, together with huge glass domes, painted cabinets and lots of
metal trim.
