[Jukebox-list] 45's

Hi Mo,
I can't remember what model jukebox you have, but most machines will handle a slightly warped record. If it's skipping you may have problems with that juke--starting with bad needles, and onto lubrication, adjustment, or bad tone arm wire. I suggest that you may need to "call a pro" and have it repaired.
As for the rust/dust problems (also could be the source of your skipping problems), you can generally treat a jukebox as if it were a car---your "maint. required" light is lit. Ron Rich

Hi,
I have quite a collection of 45's, like most of you, who have a jukebox.
My questions are: some (most) of my 45's seem a bit warped, or skip on my juke. Is there a solution, or should I get rid of the 45.
Is there a site, where I can check to see if any of my 45's are worth anything?
My jukebox needs some kind of polish, as it has rust, the inside is very dusty so what can I do to get that dust out from the inside?
thanks

OK, so we have to find out which furniture can go: in the kitchen anything? In the living room? Hallway? Guests room? Office?
Or the idea of the addition in the garden is a good solution as long as your kids stay home.

Hilegard,
wow, what a cool dad!! My kids range from 35 (I was, of course, a "child bride", lol) to 16 years old. Only have 2 1/2 living here now, my son comes in and out from college a few times a week to eat and get a full nights sleep! I don't think putting any of my Jukeboxes in their bedrooms would work, we have 3 bedrooms so we are a little stuffed as it is! Mostly, I am trying not to stress over this, and keep my sense of humor. the terrible things is, I still want a 78rpm Jukebox!

Jackie, what about an air mattress?
My brother in law did built a new bed for his daughter. She has a very small
bedroom and wanted to sit with her girl friends on a sofa plus needed some
space to play and for the desk.
So he did build the bed underneath the ceiling: mouted to the wall with two
long legs plus a big chain going to the ceiling. Now the sofa is underneath
the bed.
What about this? :-)
At what age are your kids? Does each one has/need a bedroom for his own?

Ha, JC,
you are soooo cute! Actually, it's not my family, I am just trying to be
practical, which I normally am, however being a Juke-a-holic has changed all
that. Sounds like your house is like my house..........stuff in every room
and Jukeboxes to boot! You also need to add into mine a Grand Piano and
another full-size Digital Piano downstairs for recording.........like I
said......there is crap everywhere!
Funny you should mention the Magnavox Stereo, I almost picked one up at
Goodwill last month, lol........my Mom and Dad had one for years, it's all
we had to listen to music and I have such great memories of Classical Music
in our house. Darn good thing I let it pass!! lol
Sorry for the lack of response, I did get your email about Butterfields
auction and I meant to reply to you but got busy with my Daughter in VA, she
is expecting her first baby, our 6th Grandchild, in 3 weeks so I did the
Shower thing and have been running back & forth to help her get set up, etc.
I am sorry I missed the item, it would have been great to go along with the
Jukes!! Very nice of you to think of me and I appreciate it.
I like the look of the 2410, I just haven't heard it work yet so it is a
tough decision and I am trying to think of what furniture I can trash!!LOL
