Kinda thought so.
Do you have a good guy to supply you with new gears or do you take them from
parted out jukes?
It seems in this case putting in a used gear of the same material is just
buying a little time til the same thing happens again.
Seems better over the long run to have a metal replacement made.
I had good service from ArcadiaPrecisionClockwork.com in Arizona
He rebuilt two gears for me. In that case I was replacing phenolic with
brass.
