[Jukebox-list] Wurlitzer 1050 sound

Ron and John,

Sorry for the long delay, as I was away for the holiday.

I bought a single 4A, 250V ceramic fuse, which was the same value as
the one in the amplifier.  I disconnected the remote wiring (from
inside the box, not at the switch, obviously).  I then swapped out
each of the 4ASB fuses in turn and checked to see if the sound was
restored.  Unfortunately, this did not address the problem.  I also
tried replacing the 1.25A fuses inside the amplifier, which also did
not address the problem.

Now, finally I 5A regular fuse into one of the 4ASB slots (yes, I
know...)  It blew out immediately, but since it's a different type of
fuse, I'm not sure how to interpret this.

Any suggestions?  Should I pull the amp out and send it off for
repair, get my repair guy out from Chicago, or is there something else
I should check first?
