[Jukebox-list] Wurly 3300 ?

Ron,an obvious clue is in what state does the fuse blow? Idle? Playing a
tune? Lifting a record? Replacing a record? Making a selection? I hope this
does not insult your intelligence. Wes

John,
Thanks for the tip--however this is an AC circuit--no brushes--and it only
blows the fuse every month, or so-- ( I suspect something, but was hoping
someone would confirm it).

Hi Ron,

What I do in cases like this - where the item that takes out a fuse
is not obvious - is I break the line after the fuse at the various
devices powered by that fuse. Then I fuse each of them independently
with a slightly lower value - say 5A on the 8A line, and the one that
pops shows the likely suspects' area.

Aligator jaw jumper wires and a handful of fuses will usually resolve
this in an hour or so...

Oh, and if there is a DC brush style motor on the circuit that
intermittently blows a fuse, check the commutator for carbon shorts
between the elements.
Link to nice picture of armature with the commutator as the closest part.
