[Jukebox-list] AMI I200 Scan Control

Your ear is a fine instrument for tuning steppers....select K20 and listen
to the pulse train for any irregularities, while keeping an eye on the moving
parts in generator & receiver.
If it only had problems with selecting G and H but was confident making J
and K, something funny would be going on and I would rather think you should
check the wiring and selection switches again. Perhaps somebody attempted a
repair at some point in time and soldered wires in the wrong
position....that kind of problem can be real hard to figure out. Easier if
you have another pulse generator you can use for reference.
But it appears there's a problem around the G spot on the pulse generator
:o)
Could be that the wiper is riding too high, and you could try pushing it
down slightly against the disc.
The manual isn't much help. One has to figure out how the system works and
patiently check the adjustments, of which there are many. If a tinkerer has
been there, it can take days to sort it out!
Problems that drove me semi-nuts when I was working on these electric
selection systems were pinched wires, bad solder joints, worn cams, slightly
warped pulse generator discs....
good luck
