Gary,
Try a .01/200v --you may ned to play around with the value somewhat--or, replace the switch, if you can find one--Ron Rich

Hi,
If it is the moment the cancel switch closes circuit, you need to fit a
capacitor across the 2 terminals of the cut off switch. I did one on mine
many years ago and it is silent upon cancelling now.
I cannot remember the value off the top of my head, but someone on the forum
will reply with it, as this was posted a few months ago and I think Graeme
Harvey may have replied with the value ?
I hope that helps. It is the arcing inside the switch that is causing the
interference.

Nigel

Subject: Re: [Jukebox-list] AMI continental question
Hi folks, I have a question regarding my AMI
Continental. I am getting a popping noise from the
speaker whenever a record finishes. At high volume, it
is quite loud. I can live with it, but I was wondering
if this is normal or is there something that can be
done to cure this. When rejecting the record using the
reject button, there is no noise. Does this problem
have anything to do with the muting switch? Any advice
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gary
