I think at least half the fun of a jukebox is the machinery.
Even concealed-mechanism machines have controls you can
operate.  I just don't see the excitement factor in using a
jukebox as a loudspeaker.  I suppose the upside is it
wouldn't be as hard on your ears or fatigue inducing as
the headphones; provided you can get halfway decent
equalization worked out.
